Why Is a Search Term Important?
Googlebot searches for relevant pages to index on the results page whenever a user enters a search query into a search engine. It’s not what Google, Bing, or anybody else knows that you want to know. How are you going to communicate your search query to your preferred search engine? Search engines can infer your search intent from your query, enabling them to deliver relevant results and important information to you. The website crawler is activated by a search query, which then returns relevant content in the form of URLs, photos, news, and/or videos. Search engines could not deliver reliable results without search terms.
For example, the search engine would not be able to determine if a user was searching for the greatest dentists in their location or the best dentists worldwide if they searched for “best dentists.” The search engine may provide more precise results, though, if the user types in “best dentist in London.” Only when a page or URL is optimized for that search query will it be retrieved by the crawler or appear in SERPs. Keywords vs. Search Terms

Keywords, on the other hand, are specific terms that search engines take into account while crawling and indexing web pages for their search result pages. There is, of course, a connection between these two words. You type search phrases into search engines to find the information you’re looking for. Conversely, if you own an online store, keywords are terms that you use to advertise your goods or services.
Suppose you own your own Google Ads campaign and are a baker in Chicago. When customers search for “bakeries near me” in Chicago, your advertisements may appear since you added the term “bakery” to your campaign. The search phrase in this instance was “best bakeries in Chicago,” and the keyword was “bakery.” Because you used the keyword in your Google Ads campaign and the searcher’s query contained your keyword, your ad appeared.
